Dear Lev,
Your room is mostly done, and now Pop and I are down to the nitty gritty of preparing to bring you home. We're working on insurance, calling your new doctor with hundred of questions, and looking for life insurance. Pop is also finishing the floor downstairs and poking around for a new job. He cant wait to meet you.
We're also trying to find a middle name for you. Your first name has a lot of significance because it means "joined or appointed to" in Hebrew. And in Russian, it means Lion. You'll like lions and hopefully will be bold and strong like one. But your middle name is hard to find. We'd to name you after someone we admire who loves the Lord and impacted our lives with that love. We think we have it figured out, but maybe we will wait to see you to decide on it. I wish there was someway to ask you, like "kick once for yes, twice for no". But I guess this is one of the times we'll have to do what we think is best, although I am sure that at some point down the road, you'll tell us that naming you Lev _____ was not a helpful choice.
Mimi and Padre bought you a pack and play. When you sleep in it the first time, they'll probably keep you awake by standing over you and staring at you. Pop and I are going to do this a lot, too. You'll feel a little self conscious, but keep in mind its because they love you almost as much as we will. Chances are they will go away and let you sleep if you smile at them. There are times in life you have have to give something to get something. It's best to learn those things early in life.
Love,
Mom
PS Your new friend Adele came on Saturday. She couldn't wait anymore, so she came a month early. She's looking forward to meeting you.
