You are 6 months old now! We had a little get together for you on the 19th. You were in fine form, squealing, and playing with toys. We are so thankful for your life, Lev. You live with such zest and happiness and I wish that everyone was as happy as you. You are a true delight to everyone who meets you- little old ladies in the grocery store, the sample people at costco, the child care workers at the gym; everyone comments on your eyes and eyelashes, and then how big you are, and especially how happy you are. And you are big- 28 inches and 19 pounds as of 3/25 at the doctors.
We have two favorite memories of you this month: the first is when MiMi and I took you to the doctor in Atlanta. You werent feeling well but you were still so happy. And when the doctor came in, and you saw him, you were so excited that you started to jump up and down in my arms and laugh and smile at him. Mimi likes to tell people that story. The second was just today when the nursery workers at the Y told me that you were lurching around in the swing, making it go farther so you could bump into the wall and giggle. You are all boy. Pop and love all the things you do now, that make you special:
Banging your toys on any solid surface
Sticking out your tongue.
clasping your hands and resting your head on them.
Rolling to where you want to go.
eating insane amounts of solid food in once sitting.
Your sweet wet kisses.
We are so happy that you are our son. The Lord knew we all needed each other and he brought us together and made us a pretty neat family, if I do say so myself. Pop and I have been thinking a lot about what we want our lives to look like in the future. We dont have anything decided at all, but we know that we want you to love nature and be RUGGED- whatever that means to you. We want you to love and show love to everyone around you. And we want you to spend your life making the most of what the Lord has given you in service to Him. Do you realize that it doesn't matter what your do in life as long as you do it to the glory of God? It's true. We want you to live out the talents that the Lord blessed you with, and tell people that the Lord gave them to you. The Bible says that whatever your hands find to do, you should do it all to the glory of God.
